Real Life on the Island
A neighboring family started from scratch 30 years ago, built a home, created systems for heating, lighting and electricity, raised children and still strive for self-sufficiency. In the process they've had adventures, gained knowledge and developed an island philosophy they love to share.

Your visit to their homestead can be a general ramble and garden graze or can be customised to focus on a special area of interest, including:

Bread making and woodstove cookery Growing, preparing, using herbs
Rustic driftwood furniture making

Off-the-grid electricity generation

Food preservation( jams, pickles, canning, drying, etc.)

Enjoy tea and pastries with your hosts in the garden or in the cosy kitchen Available most Tues., Thurs, and Sat. Contact us for further information.
